As discussed in the Communications section, the comms enabled version of Robop is enabled for web communications. This allows users with any web enabled device such as a mobile phone, desktop PC or laptop to interrogate Robop and perform such functions as checking the battery status, or changing the voice volume.

The technology to do this has been developed and tested. Newer, cheaper and more powerful versions of the phone electronics have become available and could be integrated without too much difficulty, given a suitable customer requirement. We have also planned to incorporate a GPS function. The purpose of this would be to track the position of the bird to ensure it is being moved as required. In the unlikely event of a bird being stolen its positions could be tracked.

For many companies going on the roof is not an option for staff due to stringent health and safety regulations. So, how can the state of the roof be monitored and how can you make sure your Robop is functioning correctly? For such circumstances we can provide a web based solution incorporating remote control cameras allowing the roof to be viewed by any authorised user from any office with internet access. Such a system could be invaluable in situations where bird activity on the roof can cause flooding, such as where the building has a syphonic drainage system. Call us to discuss your requirement.
