Of course you might be one of those corporate guys who suddenly thinks, "Gosh, if this doesn't work I'm going to look like a complete dork". "Look there goes Jim he's the one that bought that robot bird thing. I told him it would never work". "What an idiot". "Nae wonder he didn't get promoted".
Maybe, you have been told by your tame pest control company that Robop will never work. "What you really need Sir is netting". (Subtext: I hope he goes for netting because I can sting him for 50 grand and that will be a nice wee earner thankyou).
Finally you might be one of these people who are thinking along the lines of one farmer who approached us and said, "Look here, I bought a robotic santa for my daughter last Christmas. It does a hell of a lot more than your Robop thing and it only cost me £24.99". Ah yes, and how long did it stay running when you left it out in the rain? And, while we are on the subject, how many birds did it clear off your cattle court?"
So, let's put the scepticism aside for a moment and look at the facts. Robop has been in production now since the first unit was shipped in July 2002. While it will be new to most people, it is in fact a well tried and tested product. Of all the customers who have bought a Robop, not a single one has returned it claiming that it doesn't work. Look at the applications section to see the broad cross section of organisations that have used Robop successfully. Robop is designed and built to be out in all weathers more often than not on very exposed roofs. This is one reason why Robop costs more than you might at first expect. If Robop was made as a static plastic model it would only cost £12 to make. That is why plastic owls and such like sell for £19.99. In parts alone Robop costs more than a good performance desktop computer. Yes, it could be cheaper but we need to be making much higher volumes. This can only happen when the product becomes accepted without question. Finally, is Robop a solution for every conceivable bird problem? Sadly, the answer is no. However, for the vast majority of cases Robop has proved to be very effective and considerably cheaper than any other long term bird control solution. So, are you going to remain a sceptic or are you going to call us to discuss your bird control issues?
