The photo on the left shows Robop installed at Whitworth's granary in the south of England. Robops role was to reduce pigeon numbers and deter pigeons from the area where grain is unloaded. The key feature of this installation was the customers realistic expectations and they appear to be well satisfied with the results. There is a similar installation in the US Mid West. The second photo shows a more unusual application. This time Robop stands guard over a salt mine located in Up-State New York.
A more common application is where Robop is deployed on a modern high-tech manufacturing facility or development labs such as in the case of Thales Optoelectronics. Here Robops deter gulls who had become a menace depositing all maner of foul material picked up from a sewage treatment works. After Robop was installed the roof cleaning contractor was reported to have said that he only found one feather on the roof. This was in 2004 and Robop is still in use today.
