Aqua Robop
Mussel farms have a major problem with eider ducks which can easily eat their way through an entire farm destroying the crop. Certain reservoirs also have problems with gulls congregating on the water and thereby contaminating the supply. For these and similar marine circumstances we have developed a prototype Aqua Robop. For this version the bird is mounted on a lightweight floating structure, which can be anchored or indeed tied to other floating structures such as pontoons. The photo opposite shows Aqua Robop on trial at a mussel farm on the west coast of Scotland.
